1st International Widows Day/2nd Year Anniversary Held June 25th, 2011
The Long awaited 1st International Widows Day powered by Gathering of The Eagles in conjunction with The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs has come and gone but has left a great story of care and love in the heart of the Widows and other guests that graced the day long memorious event. 23th and 25th of June 2011 were the days marked out to as a global day of action to address the poverty and injustice faced by millions of widows and their dependants.
The event that was held in Abuja Nigeria was Themed "PLIGHT OF WIDOWS IN NIGERIA". Many dignitries graced the august event and the turn out was highly commended.
